🔷 1. Central Bank Initiatives (CBEG Programs)

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) plays a vital role in supporting exporters, manufacturers, farmers, and tourism companies through a wide range of targeted financing programs. Implemented in cooperation with trusted partner banks, these initiatives provide affordable credit, liquidity, and competitive financing that empower Egyptian businesses to grow and access global markets with confidence.

  • 5% Initiative for SMEs – Preferential loans at a 5% declining interest rate for small and medium enterprises in the industrial, service, and agricultural sectors to finance working capital, machinery, and new production lines.
  • Tourism Sector Support – Subsidized loans at 5% interest to cover payroll, operations, and facility upgrades for hotels, travel agencies, and tourism transport companies.
  • EGP 100 Billion Industrial Program – Financing for medium-sized factories (annual sales up to EGP 1 billion) at a reduced 10% rate to expand local industry and upgrade production capacity.
  • Agricultural Financing Programs – Special credit lines for farmers and agricultural projects to purchase equipment, seeds, and modern irrigation systems, aiming to boost productivity and sustainability.
  • Export Sector Initiatives – Programs that facilitate exporters’ access to working capital and pre-export financing, helping Egyptian products compete in international markets.
  • Green & Renewable Energy Support – Financing schemes encouraging companies in agriculture, manufacturing, and services to adopt sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

Together, these programs reflect the CBE’s commitment to driving economic growth, supporting strategic sectors, and ensuring sustainable development across Egypt.
