Dr. Nasser Loza is one of the most prominent psychiatrists in the Middle East, with over three decades of experience in clinical psychiatry, mental health policy, and institutional leadership. He is the Director of The Behman Hospital in Cairo — the oldest private psychiatric hospital in the region — and has played a transformative role in shaping Egypt’s mental health system.

A former Secretary General for Mental Health at Egypt’s Ministry of Health, Dr. Loza is internationally recognized for promoting patient rights, mental health legislation reform, and access to psychiatric care. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK), and has served as President of the Middle East Division of the World Psychiatric Association.

Today, Dr. Loza continues to provide expert psychiatric care through clinics in Cairo and London, while also leading research, education, and outreach initiatives across the Arab world.
