Fatma Said – Soprano

Fatma Said is an Egyptian soprano, born in Cairo in 1991. She began her vocal training at the age of 14 with soprano Neveen Allouba at the Cairo Opera House, before continuing her studies at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree in 2013 along with several awards. After graduation, she was awarded a scholarship to the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, becoming the first Egyptian soprano to perform on this historic stage. Fatma has performed leading roles such as Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, and has appeared at major international venues including Teatro alla Scala, Shanghai Opera House, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Gewandhaus Leipzig, and Berlin Konzerthaus. She has also performed at major festivals including the BBC Proms, Schumann Festival Bonn, Bad Kissingen, and Istanbul Music Festival. In addition to her artistic career, Fatma advocates for music education and youth empowerment, representing Egypt at the UN Human Rights Day in Geneva (2014). She continues to be celebrated as a cultural ambassador for Egypt, recognized for her versatile artistry and captivating voice.
